People, we now have Real Solutions bumper stickers. If you want one, I would like you to have one. E-mail pieandcoffee@gmail.com.
These are the bumper stickers that’s gonna make the people sway, and rock, and clap their hands to the beat, and get up and dance, in an area that will be big enough for them to do it in.
Let’s not surge: I have a report on yesterday’s Union Station peace demonstration at Indymedia. There’s another demonstration today at Lincoln Square. (Photos)
WorcesterActivist.org: The calendar is hopping, now that Stone Soup is using it for their events. If you have a Worcester activist group that would like a calendar like this, e-mail pieandcoffee@gmail.com.
Darfur: There’s now a high quality mpeg-2 video file of the movie Darfur Genocide on Trial available. This is as good as the DVD. You can download the file (1.7GB) and burn your own DVD.
Main Street donut report: Recently Dunkin’ Donuts moved across Main Street. Now a Honey Dew Donuts is moving into the old location. Everyone is talking about this. Yesterday morning a guy told me that maybe this will increase business for both shops.
Library news: Coffee makes another appearance as the T&G notes that the library will be open Sundays for a few months thanks in part to donations from the Black Diamond Coffee shop and Dunkin’ Donuts.
Is is worth it to hook your computer up to your TV, and watch WCCA TV13 via the internet stream? Oh, I think so.
Dave Winer: “No reason to think of your TV set as anything other than a PC.”
My heart swells with pride: Adam writes: “The basketball team at my alma mater, the California Institute of Technology, broke an 11-year, 207-game NCAA losing streak on Saturday by beating Bard College of New York by the rather astonishing score of 81-52.”
Why Catholics War: This is a great post.
Military Archbishop Edwin O’Brien:
The Vatican’s opposition to the war in Iraq certainly was noted by everyone.
Nate Wildermuth:
Noted and discarded.
Update: Robert Anton Wilson has died. I loved his stuff. Spent the early part of the week reading The Earth Will Shake, and re-read Everything Is Under Control over Christmas.
The one team Bard College has beaten is Anna Maria College, which I’m told is right outside of Worcester.
Yep, Anna Maria is out in Paxton. I know several people who teach there.
